The Evening Duet...
Saurus Cranes pair for life and if one dies the other lives the rest of the life alone! They have such a strong relationship!
The Call of the male was synchronized by the female, almost every time. That evening when I witnessed this display, the light was golden as the sun was setting down in the behind. When I was witnessing this call of the male and then followed by the female I felt that it was a call of assurance! The assurance that 'I will be with you...forever' and it was very well acknowledged by the female with her note coming after and finally merging into the tone of the male. It was an ecstasy to watch and feel such a nice moment. Normally I will get carried away in emotion when I witness these kinds of moments, forgetting photography and all other. For me witnessing and feeling that moment is far important than capturing it! But this time I was lucky enough to be in composure to capture the moment what I saw there. The result is infront of you - The call of Assurance...The Evening Duet...

This is the true personification of duet! The mood and ecstacy is well portrayed. I don't see any nits in the image and I a just sitting back and admiring the beauty of nature! Superb effort and a top class image Ashwini. Keep rocking!

Hey Ashwini
The mood is one of poignance enhanced by the subdued morning light. I like the touch of wild in the space around. Beautifully seen and captured.

Beautiful image Ashwin ! Love the light and artistic movement there. I too tried a lot to get them in back light. Have an image but it is not as good as yours. Due to posture of the necks and beaks I tend to think centered composition may look better than 1/3rd - just my thoughts. Thanks for sharing.

Ashwin easily this is one of the your best, the composition, the light and the behaviour all come together to create an amazing image. The best and the toughest part of the creative image making is to be there which is difficult for people who have a job and a very powerful passion to make images. It is images like this which make the forays into the wild worth it.

Beautifully captured, my friend. It can't get better than this. Pose of the birds and backlighting mkaes it magical. Placement of birds as per ROT is fine, since the bush on the left balances it. Well done.
