Rainbow
As a kid I always enjoyed watching rainbows. Who doesn't??

Today, I was just back from office and preparing myself for the workout, just as when the cloud build up was tremendous and it got extremely windy. With in minutes, it started pouring. It must have been 30 minutes by now and very very slight drizzle was there and I just went out of my house and just looked up at orange skies and what do I see - a spectacular rainbow. It was just stunning and I just ran, picked up my camera and reached the terrace. Emotions running high just clicked and clicked and like a mirage, as the light waned, the rainbow vanished. It was magical.

No words and definitely this image won't do any justice to what my eyes saw and what I experienced but just wanted to share this experience with you all...

Note: Imagine how BIG this formation was - this is shot at 10-22 @ 10mm, and still the rainbow seem to overflow the frame on the right. Glad I live in West Bangalore, it was extremely dramatic skies ( more images to follow ) and my RAW conversion software has gone bonkers with white balance!! It is simply unable to translate what I EXACTLY saw :(

PS: I shot this from my home terrace - do you call this "Nature Photography" ?!

Very dramatic, never seen a rainbow as dramatic. The blue trace of the sky makes it more interesting. I missed it..

Looks like it was a very dramatic moment! well captured! Not sure of the dark part on the RBC. Hint of blue sky makes the interesting BUT at the same time for me it is disturbing the balance of the image as well, without having any counterpart. Just my view. You must have been high in your adrenaline! :) Thanke for sharing...

I missed the rainbow but what a fantastic cloud formation and colors we say yesterday.
Superb image here dude.
On a technical side yes i do agree it is very very difficult to get the colors what we saw yesterday.
Probably i would rate this as one of the best visual spectacle i have seen in India.

A fine execution the blue in the corner adds a lot. I am not sure what WB this is certainly very saturated colors here.
