Reflected Bubbles
Tried to capture the sun's reflection on the water with the camera's focus on the plant. Didn't quite get the result I was looking for. Thought something big is missing... not sure what. Would like to hear your views. Taken at BR Hills on a morning trek through the jungle in Jan 08.

Welcome to CNP Saravana!
A very well attempted image! What catches me is the spread of the shine of the water surface and the shape of the dark plant. The presence of the smaller one spoils the mood a bit. But the attempt to go different is clearly visible here.

A lovely attempt Sarvana, considering the frame I feel you have done well, the reflected drops are just right greater increase in DOF would have spoilt the image, the grass panicle stands out well inspite of the reflected drops

Welcome to CNP Saravana !

Very creative image ! Well seen. Blue-black colors along with circular reflections are creating dreamy fairy tale effect !! If you have burnt right top corner I would consider leaving it just a bit open to visually balance the image better. Thanks for sharing. Good luck for your next try !!

Hi Saravana,

It's nice try indeed. Very imaginative and dreamy effect here. I wonder why it's coming out as blue while you mention about morning Sun. Besides I think it would have looked more beautiful if diffused points are all across the frame.

Thank you all for your encouraging words. It's doing me a world of good.

I couldn't avoid that dark patch. There were tall trees enclosing the lake and there was a small gap through which the early morning could peep in. That was the only bright spot that was overlapping with the plant. Maybe I could have cloned some spots across to the top right. But decided against it. Shankar, you're right. The clicked image was not blue... it was actually very dark - almost monochrome. But I desparately wanted blue to add some feel to the image. So pushed saturation as high as possible. The pangs of shooting in JPG made it very difficult too. From then on, bought a photo storage device and have been shooting only in RAW. Thanks all again.
