Love the greens Ashwini! Can't help wondering if the bnw would look just as good!

Working out an interesting composition is very tough with snakes. Here you have a winner however. Soft green is very pleasing here Ashwin and also the touch of brown at the top adds a lot. Stretched out tongue makes the image dynamic. Looking forward to see an image of great hornbill flying towards you from valley at Jenukal

Beauty ! Love the OOF regions all around the snake framing the subject. Personally, for me, I would've preferred if brown region in ULC was'nt present.
But that's really not a big deal. This is ONE FANTASTIC image Ashwini. Looking forward to see more.

@ Ganesh: Please don't remind me about the lost chance last year when couple of Great Hornbil did fly past the canopy and I was with my macro lens stuck on the tripod. Till date I curse myself about that lost opportunity because of not having another body with a tele fitted on to it. This time we didn't had luck to witness the bird flypast.

@Rajesh - Was I surprised? Yes, I was! Pramod and myself had just finished talking about finding a green vine snake in the western ghat region and within a few minutes there it was! But I was not with the macro lens. This snake was quite bold to wait for me till I went back to get the macro lens .

OOF foliage creates a lot of mystery and adds super depth to the image. Protruded tongue sensing for the next move is icing on the cake. Superb image Ashwini. One of the best trips we have had together. Thanks for the company.
