Conversation
For me the arrangement looked like a conversation between two different life forms - the flower and the grass.
Inclusion of the other pair of flowers was a deliberate decision.

Not sure if this works for you.

I am not sure of the color scheme. This image would need a relook because the magenta cast distracts and disturbs cohesion.

Thanks VMR for the candid views. I was opposite to the rising sun and the red that you see is the direct effect of that along with a bit of higher color temp. I am not very sure about magenta cast in the image and for my taste the warmer tones added and hence I had decided to retain them. But thanks for your view, it helps.

Cheers.

Those leaves on the top of the frame are looking very nice, did you make any image just with them ?

Ashwini, I like the composition a lot. Your concept of conversation is well conveyed through it. About the OOF flowers, hmm, I am in two minds. Not having them would simplify the image. On the other hand, having them adds some interest, but IMO added complexity weighs the interest down. That dark blade of grass that's partly visible on RHS draws my attention to the OOF flowers as well. Could be removed.

Hi Ashwini,
It seems you've fallen in love with reeds. Only that can explain such softness in your recent shots of them. To my mind this picture can be improved further by
i) clipping from bottom giving it a square crop or
ii) by muting the oof purple flowers
However my preference would still be a square crop for it seems to enhance the simplicity and softness here.
Thanks for sharing

Lyrical composition Ashwin. I love the purple flower - so far I have failed to reproduce the color and texture of it in my images !! This flower is really unique. What I love about the frame is the emotions that you are conveying along with depicting 'conversation' theme. I love the purple cast all over the image. I suggest you not to change anything and try and get it printed AS IS IF POSSIBLE ! Would really have a fantastic impact to see it on the wall.
